Just like your body thrives on a balanced diet of fruits, veggies, protein, and carbs… it also thrives on a variety of movement.

Think about it: Would you eat plain toast every day for every meal?(Unless you're really into toast... we won’t judge.)But for most of us, that would get boring fast — and it wouldn’t exactly fuel our bodies in the best way.
Exercise is the same.Your body needs different types of movement to feel strong, mobile, and energized. And when you only do one thing (or nothing at all), it’s like feeding your muscles a very limited diet.
So, What’s on the Movement Menu?
Stretchy movements keep muscles long, flexible, and ready for action.
Strength training builds muscle tone, protects your joints, and supports posture
Core work stabilizes you from the inside out
Cardiovascular, SIT or HIIT (speed or high intensity interval training)
Balance and coordination challenge the brain and body to work together
Gentle recovery days are like a warm cup of tea for your nervous system
And fun, playful movement? That’s dessert.
Why Coaching Makes a Big Difference
Sure, you could pick random exercises off YouTube and hope for the best. But that’s like trying to cook a gourmet meal without a recipe. As a coach I'm there to support my clients growth in mind and body every step of the way. I can do the squats for you but I can help you get the most out of your movement practice!
A good coach is like your personal movement chef. We look at how your body moves right now — where it’s strong, where it’s tight, and where it might be out of balance. We craft sessions that are just right for you, making sure you're feeding all your muscle groups in ways that keep things safe, effective, and interesting.
And yes… we will gently nudge you to try things you might never try on your own.(“This looks weird but trust me, your hips are gonna love it!”) That’s where growth happens — and where confidence builds. Try something new this fall. maybe a mobility or Pilates class to complement your strength training. Or add some interval workouts to your week.
The Takeaway?
Don’t feed your body just one kind of movement. Mix it up. Stay curious. Try new things. And if you’re not sure where to start? Grab a coach — we’ve got the recipe for success. Stay tuned for some exciting classes coming your way this fall! September is like the new year, it's a time to get back to a routine and include fitness and wellness into your weekly schedule. Your muscles, your joints, and your future self will thank you.
